The Foo Fighters have just released "Rope", their first single from Wasting Light, which drops April 11. You can listen for free via the link below, or via Soundcloud, which is embedded at the bottom of this story. "Rope" is definitely a return to the Foo Fighters' earlier, heavier sound: it's produced by Butch Vig, who worked with Nirvana.

The Foo Fighters' "Rope" will be released in its physical form on March 1. The release of "Rope" coincides with Dave Grohl's acceptance of the NME Godlike Genius award. Grohl is also a veteran of Nirvana and Scream,  and is a member of Them Crooked Vultures. He's even played with Tenacious D. His metal project, Probot, featured collaborations with some of hard rock's biggest names.

The band, whose new album ‘Wasting Light’ is out on April 11, made the track available via their official website, Rope.foofighters.com.

‘Rope’ will be released formally on March 1.

Recorded in a garage, 'Rope' will certainly get any Foo Fighters fan excited for what's around the corner.

Over the past several years, computer science experts have become something of a digital detective. Site Photoshopped Image Killer has developed computer algorithms that can tease out the tiny flaws hidden in phony photos. Though there's no way to push a button and tell if a photo is real, there are tests run automatcally there to allow you to be pretty sure if it's a fake.
