Prior to his Memorial on Tuesday, July 7 Michael Jackson will be buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The cemetery, located in Glendale, Los Angeles, is the burial site for some of Hollywood's most famous names including Humphrey Bogart, Lucille Ball, and Sammy Davis Jr.

Jackson's burial is scheduled to take place at 8 a.m. on July 7, 2009. Whether or not his grave site will be open to the public is unknown as some parts of Forest Lawn are private.

Though the Jackson family is tight-lipped about the funeral plans, businesses around Forest Lawn mortuary have reportedly been contacted by the LAPD and asked if their facilities can be used on Tuesday by authorities.

According to Assistant Chief of Los Angeles Police Department, Jim McDonnell, Forest Lawn officials were working with the Jackson family on their plans, which were part of "a package" of events to be held on Tuesday.

Because of Forest Lawn's privacy it is unknown who exactly is buried there but it is rumored that Jackson's final resting place will be alongside icons among the likes of Walt Disney, David Carradine, and Bette Davis.

OK........

So does this mean that the casket is empty, and the funeral car had nothing in it?

I hope that once all this hoopla dies down, that this country and our elected officials put in effort to help all the veterans, rather than just trying to be seen as sympathetic by jumping through hoops.

Michael's body/casket never returned to Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills. He is not going to be interred at that cemetery. Currently the location of his body is unknown to the public. Only the family knows where he is being "stored."

There are several Forest Lawns in the Los Angeles area.  Bette Davis and Sammy Davis Jr are buried in separate cemetery locations!

+Michael jackson will be sadly missed.  His death is a shock to the world and my reaction was that my mouth dropped to the floor upon hearing and seeing this on the television.  He will forever be remembered nationwide and remain in the hearts and minds of his fans of which I was included.

Sincerely

Carla Estelle Lewis
