Four acclaimed aerosol artists were brought together to express their interpretation of faith. For two weeks the artists came together and laboured away at the 30ft x 60ft wall which was donated by Metropolitan United Church (www.metunited.ca), located in one of downtown Toronto's most culturally diverse neighbourhoods. The mural was unveiled on September 19th and will be up indefinitely for many to see.

Paint Your Faith is a bold initiative by The United Church of Canada encouraging and inspiring people of all ages and backgrounds to explore and express faith in ways that go beyond words.

These were the artists:

Chor Boogie (San Diego) www.chorboogie.com
Chor Boogie is an accomplished international muralist, painter, curator and instructor. Chor’s unique talent for meaningful expression is recognized around the globe, most recently in China where he was commissioned to do a mural for the Olympics.

Siloette (San Francisco) www.siloette.com
Siloette became involved with aerosol art in the mid-nineties. As an illustrator, designer and muralist she approaches every creation with consideration. Her work’s feminine subject matter and organic ingredients can be found on walls, freights, apparel, and advertising worldwide.

Elicser (Toronto) www.elicser.com
Elicser is one of Toronto’s most recognized street artists and a major influence on Toronto’s downtown landscape. Elicser was recently part of the Housepaint exhibition at the Royal Ontario Museum.

Mediah (Toronto) www.iahdigital.com

Mediah is a Toronto-based aerosol and new media artist. He has been active since 1994 and has had his artwork exhibited across Canada and around the world. Mediah’s applications of digital art, composition and movement to his graffiti lettering create a unique 'neo-dynamism.’

The project was a huge success and the artists were quite inspired and proud of their work.
