Fox Cancels Human Target, Lie to Me, Breaking In, Chicago Code
Shakeup on Fox: Human Target, Lie to Me, Chicago Code, Breaking In are Out
Fox is on the warpath, kicking shows off its network like Gordon Ramsay on a bad day. Human Target has been denied a third season, after much speculation. This is bad news for fans of espionage, Indira Varma, and Jackie Earle Haley. With Jack Bauer and now Guerrero gone, who's gonna torture people on prime time?
Also canceled is Lie to Me, starring Tim Roth as an abrasive human lie-detector surrounded by people who are way too patient with him. Were you just starting to get into Chicago Code? Sorry. The Jennifer Beals/Delroy Lindo police drama has also been axed.
But wait... surely Fox wouldn't cancel Breaking In, right? I mean, give Christian Slater a chance. Sorry, it ain't Christian Slater day. Traffic Light (which I confess to never having seen) will also be banished to the Phantom Zone.
Hurley is Back!
Please tell me that Fox isn't stacking the deck with more reality-TV bullshit... please... Oh, thank heavens. Jorge "Hurley" Garcia is back in a new J.J. Abrams mystery series called Alcatraz. Also, a Bones spinoff called The Finder (probably not about Mac OSX's file management system).
Hipster it-girl Zooey Deschanel (500 Days of Summer) will star in The New Girl, and I Hate My Teenage Daughter will also join the Fox lineup, starring Jaime Pressley.
