Mere days after Facebook launched their new profile layout, French designer Alexandre Oudin took advantage of the concept to customize his profile. Techcrunch soon picked it up and it instantly became viral. 

The concept inspired numerous copycats, and even a website where you can create your own "profile hack." It remains to be seen whether profile photo hacks are just a passing fad, or if they will be invading Facebook profiles everywhere.
