Fear to speak no perfect english

In business or science or private, the french have a tremendous fear to speak english. Why ? It is not national proud, it is the fear to make a failure. France is strong in critisizing every stranger trying to speak French, so discouraging many young people to learn French.

Main problem inverse thinking

The main problem is the inverse thinking. For example NATO in french OTAN; GMO in french OGM. Did you ever use as a french a american computer ? You can not the word computer is existing in almost any language; the french only created the artifical word "ordinateur", software = "logiciel". Many young french people are excluded from international jobs not understanding basic english.

End Isolation by speaking "int'l kitchen english"

The introduction of English at schools would help France out of the Internet Isolation (90% english). French language is good for diplomacy, but if it comes to execute a common plan everbody prefers English. Second France has  still  a handicap  to understand international business rules, means to create customer confidence instead of a onetime "Bordeaux sales".

Sarkozy starts English TV films

President Sarkozy started english films or subtitles in French TV, helps a lot. Hope we make good progress to understand our world, creating the "social interpretation internet", like first steps seen on NP, with different cultures touching each other.
