The Complete Matthew Broderick 'Ferris Bueller' Super Bowl Ad Was Released on January 30, 2012. Here is the Full Matthew Broderick Honda Ad Video

The mystery is over. Last week, a video of Matthew Broderick popped up on YouTube that appeared to show the actor reprising his role as Ferris Bueller for a Super Bowl 2012 commercial.

Now the full Matthew Broderick-Ferris Bueller commercial is out and it turns out it's an ad for Honda.

In the video, Broderick plays himself, not Bueller) Like his most famous character, however, Broderick decides to fake being sick so he can spend a day on his own. Of course, instead of tooling around town in famous red vintage sports car like Bueller did, Broderick drives a Honda CR-V.  Bit of a step down from the 1961 Ferrari GT California that Bueller drove in the movie, but at least he didn't crash it and send his friend Cameron into a catatonic state.

According to Jalopnik, the Matthew Broderick "Ferris Bueller" Honda ad was directed by Todd Phillips, the man behind the Hangover movies.
