A Press conference was held this morning at Doctors Hospital in Augusta Georgia regarding Travis Barker former Blink-182 Drummer and Adam Goldstein (DJ AM) condition following a fatal plane crash in Columbia, SC that occurred just before midnight on Friday.  The families released this statement to the press.

“Both Travis Barker and Adam Goldstein (DJ AM) are currently being treated for second and third degree burns.  Barker suffered from burns on his torso and lower body and Goldstein suffered from burns on his arm, and a portion of his scalp. Since both Barker and Goldstein are in overall good health and didn't suffer from any other crash-related complications, a full recovery is expected.
The families wish to thank fans from all over the world for their prayers and concern. Deepest sympathy is expressed to the loved ones of those who perished in the crash. As the two recuperate and mourn this loss, privacy for them, their families, and friends is requested at this time.”

The patients’ physicians, Fred Mullins, MD, Medical Director of the Joseph M. Still Burn Center, and burn surgeon Claus Brandigi, MD, stated that the patients remain in critical, but stable condition.

Iron Mill News Service,  Parent company of Politisite.com will receive patient updates at 4 pm eastern time Sunday.

Friends of Barker and Goldstein may share their well-wishes by going to the hospital’s website, www.doctors-hospital.netEmail a Patient.

The Hospital ended all contact with the media on the patients at the Sunday Night update.  All of inquiry's will go through their publicist.  Since I don't have rapport with Hollywood I will leave anything further to TMZ and MTV.

Travis Barker and DJ AM blew my mind three times this summer and to contribute to a story of this magnitude is my honor and pleasure. I wish the families of Chris Baker, Charles Still, and the pilot and co-pilot the best and to know that they are in our prayers. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this heart-breaking and tragic story. Let's hope that Travis and Adam pull through without too many long-time effects. Again, thank you.

While I was on leave in Spring 2006, I was at LAX and saw Travis. None of my friends would go ask for a picture, so I did! He's a sweet guy, quiet, but super friendly, even during travel time.
