Fullerton police investigation continues in beating death

The FBI, the Orange County District Attorney and now an independent auditor are all investigating the Fullerton Police Department. They’re looking into six officers involved in last month’s beating of a schizophrenic homeless man who died a few days after the beating.
Rusty Kennedy is the executive director of the Orange County Human Relations Commission. He says investigations like the one into the death of Kelly Thomas could take up to two years.
"This is something that takes a long time, and it’s because our system of government that protects the rights of individuals that it’s the right thing to let it take time," Kennedy says. "There won’t be any instant gratification available."
The names of the officers involved in the beating have not been released, but an attorney says one of them took part in a violent arrest of 31-year-old Veth Mam last October. The attorney, Garo Mardirossian, says he’ll file a federal lawsuit this week that alleges police brutality in Mam’s arrest. He says once the paperwork is in, he’ll begin the discovery process – and that will let him interview the officer in question.

Kelly Thomas Death Spurs 'Anonymous' Hackers To Action
Self-proclaimed "Anonymous" hackers have just released a video threatening the Fullerton Police department with a site-wide shutdown if certain demands aren't met. Called "Operation Fullerton," (#OpFullerton), the hackers are demanding that the officers involved in the beating of homeless man Kelly Thomas be prosecuted, that the Fullerton Police Chief resign, and that $5 million be awarded to Thomas' family.

My question is who the hell is training these cops to act and respond with these tactics. Police today are basically out of control in many reported incidents happening all around America today. Why is this still happening in 2011 ?

I want to say that I am just guessing!!!!. But Tom Metzger leader of the White Aryan Resistance said he was going to start infiltrating the law enforcement agencies. Now again I repeat, I am guessing. I remember him saying that on TV a couple of times when I lived in Southern California. I live in LV and there are many homeless people who I have never seen harassed. Wish I could say the same when I lived in Calif. Many people were harassed there. I don't know why. I don't know why it is not like that where I live now. Again I am JUST GUESSING, NO PROOF.

Thanks Christina39 (not verified)..I agree you never know what type of element and how many different groups have been infiltrating our law enforcement agencies. Not to mention possible terrorist cell elements today. The police today just aren't acting socially responsible in many incidents today.

Someone just emailed me a long video of the incident and it is INSANE. I have always kept my postings professional or non-threatening, but I could not watch the entire video. My heart was racing. I was nauseated. One of the pigs (though all six do not seem to be involved) is BASHING Thomas in the face after he is UNCONSCIOUS repeatedly and they say Kelly Thomas was psychotic. A young dark haired pig is totally rabid as is cyclops. These two have rabies and should be shot, not tried. The bystanders are screaming. Thomas is screaming, At first Thomas yells to God for help then his father and then he is unconscious and the fun begans, at least for what appears to be for two pigs. Cyclops attempts to attack someone with a camera. IT IS INSANE, JUST INSANE AND ANYONE WHO THINKS DIFFERENTLY IS INSANE. It makes you wonder what happens when there are no cameras. The pigs are obviously aware they are being video taped as they threaten those taking pictures as well, but they are too "out of control" to care. If anyone knows some one out of the country, they may send you a video circulating. If and when Americans see the video, I think the Rodney King incident is going to look like a walk in the park. Right now after just having seen the video, I DON'T CARE.

It was a compilation video made up of cell videos from sites that are known for their videos and postings. It is NOT the hidden police video we would all love to see. If it was I would have given it to CNN

People are posting on websites (probably police) saying that Rodney King WAS s convicted felon; that Kelly Thomas HAD vandalized before and therefore they got what they deserved. NOT THAT I AM SUGGESTING IT. But you will never see someone who got away with murder because of a jury pardon, ever being harassed by police if that person is white, goodlooking or rich.

Pierre Abernathy – a mentally ill citizen of San Antonio, Texas – was tased and beaten to death by a group of at least six police officers on August 4, 2011. Police Chief McManus, City Manager Sculley, City Attorney Bernard (brother of White House Social Secretary Jeremy Bernard) and others have conspired to hide three decades of public and police corruption for the past several years – violating the law in the process. Police Chief William McManus, the San Antonio Police Department and the City of San Antonio, Texas cannot be trusted to investigate and report on the murder of Pierre Abernathy. Citizens and family members cannot expect to get a factual accounting of the death at the hands of the police. I and other citizens call for the City of San Antonio to take similar action to that undertaken by the City Council of Fullerton, California when it was discovered that their police force could not be trusted to tell the truth concerning the murder of yet another mentally ill citizen by police officers. We call for an independent investigation into the murder of Pierre Abernathy and the other criminal acts by SAPD/City officials.
