Game Of Thrones: HBO Preview Video Ahead of April 17 Premiere
HBO Gives us a Game of Thrones Preview
HBO is premiering Game of Thrones on April 17. We get a 15-minute sneak preview now, though, to get us ready for the latest swing-for-the-fences series. Game of Thrones is based on Song of Ice and Fire, an extra-geeky fantasy series by George R.R. Martin.
If you like beheadings, you'll love the exclusive Game of Thrones sneak preview, which introduces us to the world of Westeros and the Family Stark. We're including a Youtube version below, since HBO's video player seems to break somewhat regularly.
Look at their track record — if there’s one thing HBO does better than anyone else, it’s original dramas. Band of Brothers, The Sopranos, The Wire, Oz, Deadwood, John Adams, Six Feet Under, True Blood — this list only scratches the surface of the great dramas HBO has brought to the small screen. What’s more, with some of the mature content in Game Of Thrones, it’s tough to imagine the show being on network television or anywhere else.
Actually, add John from Cincinnati to that list. No other network would ever have the stones to air a minimalist-Jesus-heroin-surf saga featuring Luke Perry.
Game of Thrones got some negative press recently after reports emerged that the production crew damaged Dwejra Heritage Beach in Malta, where the show was filming. The crew dumped tons of artificial sand onto the beach, which violated the terms of their shooting permit, though no protected species were harmed.

The preview is great, two beheading within 14 minutes, if they keep that up they won't have anyone left on the show except corpses. I can't think of any reason why even people who have not read the books would want to miss this, its going to that good. It doesn't looked rush, looks like it my just do the books justice. Working for DISH network I can tell you that if you have DISH and don't have an HBO subscription it will be on free preview 4/15-4/18 so you can catch some movies and the installment. I will be away from the big screen but I"m going to use my sling adapter to stream the installment to my iphone, I love the fact I can take my television everywhere.
