Today, Get Your Vote On is taking voting for a ride in Vancouver, Victoria, and Kelowna  with a critical mass bike ride in all three cities. A posse with a purpose, the Critical Vote Ride, sets out to gear up and inspire as many people as possible to get out and vote on May 12th.

Youth have long been know to have the lowest voter turn out, and Get Your Vote on wants to change that. A non-partisan group dedicated to making politics and democracy meaningful again to the under - 35 crowd, they are well known for their fun events.

In the 2005 British Columbia provincial election, Get Your Vote On registered 20,000 voters, organized numerous events, and used a creative text-messaging campaign to engage youth in the electoral process. The Critical Vote Ride is another get-out-the-vote effort targeted to inspire youth to vote in the May 12th election and referendum on electoral reform.

Today, bikes and people will be decorated to the nines and everyone is invited to join as Vancouver, Victoria, and Kelowna compete against each other to get the most riders and best costumes. Elections BC is co-sponsoring the Victoria ride, and Know Your Vote is co-sponsoring the Kelowna Critical Vote Ride.
