Giant Cootie

This 15' tall cootie was originally a float in the 1975 Macy's Day Thanksgiving parade. Here's a photo from that event. Cootie found a temporary home at the old Capitol Children's Museum in DC (where I took this photograph) but was sold when the museum closed in 2004. He can now be found at "American Celebration on Parade" -- a museum with other parade floats, etc. where I'm sure he's very happy with his own kind!
