Glastonbury Festival and Jimmy Choo Wellies.
Has became known as the “impromptu” Festival. This happened with the arrival of travellers washed out from Stonehenge who were led to believe that a festival was taking place. After persuasive discussion, a free mini Festival did take place. There was little organisation and few facilities layed on but somehow it did not matter - the stage was powered by an electric meter in a caravan with the cable running to the stage. That was the begining...........
Glastonbury Festival was many years past a great haunting ground for me and many of my friends.
Worthy Farm nestled in the beautiful English countryside. The weather always was a mixed bag of rain and sunshine. When it rained people would congregate in the biggest tent and enjoy the freedom of playing guitar and singing to each other. Children danced in the rain laughing happily at the joys of just being free to express themselves without restraint. Those were the days.
No one cared a hoot about how they looked it was always easy casual wear Jeans Flowing Kaftans nothing designer or expensive, A gypsy camp at its best, in the golden days of flower power.
Glastonbury now! Has become a monster festival in comparison. Thousands of people congregate there now, pop stars, showbiz is its core.
This year the craze to combat the rain was Jimmy Choo Wellies, The stars and showbiz elite models actresses whatever, are out there plodding around the wet sogging mud, Now it has become fashionable to be seen wearing the long black rubber Wellington boots with a silver buckle. Why are they so popular? Well they are Jimmy Choo you know; they cost 250 pounds a pair. Glastonbury’s newest in thing!…………………..
