Glee Auditions: Glee Open Casting Call
Glee auditions? Gleeks rejoice, because it's true: Glee is holding open casting calls in February to fill three roles in Glee's upcoming second season. Anyone will be able to apply, provided that you can sing, and that you look like a high school student. Fox has a dedicated Glee audition page, on which you can see existing cast members' audition tapes: watch the Glee auditions online to get a feel for what the experience is like.
For those who have never attended an open call, it's an exercise in misery: you'll be waiting for around six hours to spend eleven seconds with bored casting directors who have already pretty much made up their minds about who they want to cast. They don't call 'em cattle calls for nothing. You've been warned. Having said that, if you don't care one way or the other, it's a people-watching extravaganza, between the prima donnas and the stage parents.
Oh, and if you thread the needle and actually land the gig... you'll have to deal with Sue Sylvester.
Did we just hear an extremely well-pitched squeal go up around the country? Especially in New York and L.A.?
