Glee Fans Rejoice! Open Auditions Are Being Held for Glee Season 2 - You Can Apply Online on Their MySpace Page
Open auditions for three roles in Season 2 of Glee are being held right now online until April 26th. This is your chance to get on one of the most popular shows on TV and to show off your dancing and singing skills.
Rules for Submitting Your Online Audition for Glee
You submit via the Glee MySpace page and you can only submit once, so make that one tape your best ever. You must choose from the selected song list (some of which you will recognize from other Glee episodes) and your tape must also include some personal statement from you. Very important - your tape can be no more than one minute long.
Do not swear or do anything illegal or inappropriate in your video and do not appear with anyone else. Fox also has the right to use your audition tape for any purpose they choose once you upload it, so remember that you do not have the rights to your tape once it is submitted.
You can only audition if you are between the ages of 16 and 26 - no older, no younger.
The tunes might sound familiar: "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" from "Dreamgirls," the radio version of "Gold Digger" by Kanye West, "Rehab" by Amy Winehouse, "You Can't Always Get What You Want" by the Rolling Stones, "Can't Fight This Feeling" by REO Speedwagon, "Don't Rain On My Parade" by Barbra Streisand, "Hate on Me" by Jill Scott, "Keep Holding On" by Avril Lavigne, "Lean on Me" by Bill Withers and "True Colors" by Phil Collins.

What if you want to submit yourself and you are over 26 but still looking young? Can you still submit yourself then? Thanks

I have the same question! i am over 26 but look much younger...The age limitation is unnecessary and unfair...any hope of changing it?

actually the official rules on their website just say 16 and older....there is not limit on how old you can be. I'm older than 26 as well, but still look extremely young and I submitted my video.1. ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to submit your casting video ("Submission") to this call for Submissions ("Casting Call") to cast the role(s) or one or more high school students for the television series "GLEE" (the "Series"), you must be a legal resident of and/or eligible to work in the United States, at least sixteen (16) years of age as of April 26, 2010, and not subject to a current recording contract or other services contract that would prohibit you from rendering exclusive and/or first position services (as determined by Series producers), in connection with the Series. You must be willing and able to render in-person services in Los Angeles, California, beginning on or about July 1, 2010. Fox is an equal opportunity employer.

actually the ad says You can only audition if you are between the ages of 16 and 26 - no older, no younger. i am sixteen but im worried cuz im only sending in my video today and it's the closing date :/

No you can't. It's a nationwide audition, meaning only United States. Go to www.myspace.com/gleeauditions and look at the T's&C's :(

Actually, the terms state that "you must be a legal resident of and/or eligible to work in the United States." So yea... if you're eligible to work in US, go for it, thouogh I'm not entirely sure what stipulates elibility by US law.

Hey, actually yes you can audition if you dont live in the states. It simply says you must be able to work there. Not be a resident.

when you say some personal statement do you mean a little more than your name? Such as
city, state, age, grade, hobbies, accomplishments.

.....I'm amazingly disappointed that my parents didn't have me a couple years earlier. I guess they won't let someone audition if they're too young even though they look much older... One of the only times I regret being young.

What do I do if I have sent my submission in but the link that I post to my friends to vote for me is not working? I have no profile pic so the only way for my friends to find me is to physically type in my name. Also, none of my votes are being shown, I don't know if they are even being counted. I have already emailed myspace with the issue but I don't understand why my audition is unable to be viewed like everyone else. What should I do?! I learned "True Colors' and I accompanied myself on the VIOLIN! It was not easy btw.

Is there any other way to submit a video than MySpace? I live at my school and they have a strong firewall up against MySpace. I've tried the only two proxies I know to override it but it won't work. I have my video made and everything and it is extraordinarily frustrating that I cannot post it. Any ideas?

The glee site will not upload my video! AND I have a separate one for each one (the personal statement and the song). It said you can only upload once, so I don't understand it.
