Glee producers lived up to their promise of 5 songs for their return episode after a long hiatus this spring, not to mention cast comebacks, plot twists, and plenty of dance numbers.

Glee Episode Summary

Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) is reinstated as the coach of the Cheerios and has it in for the coach of Glee, Will Shuster, and its stars. Staff and student romances heat up, and Rachel’s place in the Glee club is threatened.

 Finn (Cory Monteith) and Rachel (Lea Michele)’s short-lived connection segues into a fling with Jessie Saint James, lead singer of the Glee clubs’ biggest competition, Vocal Adrenaline.

Will Shuster (Matthew Morrison) and Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays)’s relationship also cools  when Shu finds out he’s nowhere near ready for a relationship, mid-make-out session with Shelby Corcoran (Idina Menzel), coach of Vocal Adrenaline.

Next week is the “Power of Madonna” episode, featuring coach Sue Sylvester in the lead role of Madonna’s 1990 song, “Vogue”.
