Glen Campbell to Retire, Announces He Has Alzheimer's
The music world was rocked by Glen Campbell's retirement announcement. The singer-songwriter told the world that he has Alzhiemer's. Glen Campbell will do a farewell tour, and then call it quits.
According to Glen Campbell's wife Kim, he can still sing and play guitar, but they were worried that the advancing symptoms would ruin the concert experience for his fans if they didn't know what was going on. Recent concert reviews said that Campbell seemed disoriented and disconnected from the crowd. A recent review described it as "mystifyingly bad". The reason is no longer a mystery.
Said Glen Campbell, "I still love making music, and I still love performing for my fans. I'd like to thank them for sticking with me through thick and thin."
