Glenn Beck is getting closer to saying "RENO"
As I watched Glenn Beck today, I can sense he is getting closer to stating that we all need to RENO. RENO is a movement I have seen pop up out there that stands for "Re-Elect No One" (RENO). Glenn pointed out that 80-90 % of Congress are incumbents. I interpreted his comments to say he and "We the People" are not satisfied with them and that those statistics are alarming and ultimately not doing us justice. They must go! I have written earlier opinions about RENO and today's Glenn Beck program was as close as it got for him to say that RENO should be the logical thing for Americans to do. What other option is there? All his points were valid and after listening to his talking points the only thing left to deduce is that we should RENO.
After his program he had an online chat on Fox's website where he asked his members of The912project to submit questions to him about what he and others can do etc. Over and over again I see some of their questions talking and suggesting Term Limits. That probably won't happen, or is very unlikely, as those in power won't make a law that will block them from staying in office long enough to get their king and queen benifits from pensions, health care and the lavish pocket lining opportunites after leaving office. So, what is an easy answer or solution? RENO! My guess is that before June 1st, you will hear Glenn say "hey folks, I think we have to just Re-elect no one!
Today was as close as it ever got, but those of us that are waiting to hear it as to help promote this movement will most likely not have to wait much longer. That is my opinion and I'm sticking with it.

The incumbent advantage is far too strong for this to be even remotely feasible. Franking, casework, name recognition, pork...etc. Especially in state governments, if someone new is elected, it's almost always because they weren't running against an incumbent. I wish I would have paid more attention in my poly sci classes so I could draw up some state gov. statistics, because they were insane. Incumbent reelection is over 90%, if I remember correctly.

Thanks for your insight and comment. I do not believe in throwing up my hands and submitting to defeat. Just a hint of letting these folks that we send to DC that the mojaority ( if we can get there even) want them to go serve for up to 8 years and come home has to be good for the common good of the country. It has to start some place. I admit very difficult and I do sound like it should be a hard core thing we do, but I am a realist but did not convey that. Thank you again, all the best to you. I care for All.
