Global Red Carpet Premiere Events for the Movie Burlesque

“Burlesque” tells the story of a woman named Ali (played by Christina Aguilera), who's described as a small-town girl with a big voice trying to escape hardship and an unknown future to follow her dreams of moving to L.A. The story progresses as Ali lands a job as a cocktail waitress but, eventually because of her incredible vocals, scores a gig on stage at the Burlesque Lounge.

            Directed by Steve Antin "Burlesque" boasts a star-studded cast including Cher, Kristen Bell, Julianne Hough, Cam Gigandet and Eric Dane. This team of A-List cast members started work on the movie back in January of 2010, with the entire movie filmed on location in Michigan.

L.A. Premiere: November 15th, 2010

Christina Aguilera looked lovely at the premiere of Screen Gems' "Burlesque" in Los Angeles, California. Clad in a flowing green frock, the singer/actress joined co-star Cher as the pair worked the crowd as they slowly but surely made their way into Grauman's Chinese Theater for the debut screening. Earlier in the day Christina paid a visit to the Hollywood Walk of Fame where she was honored with a star for her lifetime achievements.

On hand for the L.A. red carpet photo call was several of Hollywood’s lovely ladies including Julianne Hough, Khloe Kardashian, Kristin Cavallari, AnnaLynne McCord and Kylie and Kendall Jenner.

Tokyo, Japan Premiere: December 7th, 2010

Christina Aguilera was joined by costars Cam Gigandet and Kristen Bell as she walked the red carpet at the Roppongi Hills Arena. During her interview, Ms. Aguilera noted that while she may look super sexy onscreen, the reality of it all was that the movie was hard work. "I was scared of being out there with real, professional dancers. It's harder than it looks. Probably the unsexiest thing is to see a dancer's feet. After dancing for 17 or 18 hours a day every day, your feet are just bruises and calluses."

Madrid, Spain Premiere: December 9th, 2010

Held at the Callao cinema, Christina Aguilera got the paparazzi going when she walked the red carpet in a stunning black dress. Also smiling for the cameras were co-stars Cher, Cam Gigandet and Kristen Bell, as well as director Steven Antin.

Unfortunately for Christina the timing of the Madrid premiere was the same day that several “racy” private pictures of her were released on the Internet. The photos range from Christina dressed in sexy lingerie, to her wearing decorative body chains and pasties on her chest. Her rep told press, "[The pictures were] taken in the privacy of Ms. Aguilera's home and were used only in a personal exchange between the star and her stylist. We are attempting to determine the identity of the hackers and will pursue them aggressively."
