What time does the Golden Globes start?

The awards that will help determine the 2011 Oscars will start at 8pm ET and will be broadcast live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California. Although there will be some pre-show entertainment starting at 7pm ET so be sure to check out the red carpet, the dresses and who is showing up with whom.

Ricky Gervais is once again hosting the show and many are excited as he doesn't hold back with his jokes and has great comedic timing.

Robert De Niro will also be presented with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement this year.
