Golden Globe's winners

This year's Annual Golden Globes Awards that get to its 66th edition was Danny Boyle's night. His movie Slumdog Millionaire, won four awards for Best Motion Picture, Original Score, Drama and Best Motion Picture Director.

Four awards were taken home for HBO miniseries John Adams, the story of the Revolutionary War tactician and second President of the United States struggling to establish democracy to America. Among the awards there was Best Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television; Best Actress, Miniseries or Motion Picture made for Television for Laura Linney and Best Actor for Paul Giamatti.

Mikey Rourke won Best Actor, Motion Picture Drama for his role in The Wrestler. He thanked his dogs.
Kate Winslet was awarded As Best Actress for her role in the drama Revolutionary Road directed by her husband Sam Mendes.Her second statuette that she took home for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in The Reader.

Heath Ledger was posthumously awarded a Golden Globe Award for his performance in The Dark Knight, for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of villain The Joker in the Batman blockbuster."On behalf of all of us who worked with Heath on The Dark Knight, I accept this with mix of sadness and incredible pride. He will be eternally missed but he will never be forgotten.” said The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan.
