2 men charged with using golf clubs to break car windows

BOWLING GREEN — Two city men were arrested Wednesday morning and charged with smashing windows out of at least 15 vehicles overnight.

Jordan Passmore, 28, and Shawn B. Joseph, 23, were taken to the Wood County jail on charges of criminal damaging and possession of criminal tools.

According to a police report, they used golf clubs to break out windows on Buttonwood, Lehman, North Grove, Eighth, Seventh, and Fifth streets.

Mr. Passmore also was charged with inducing panic after he allegedly pushed and pulled on the drive-thru window at Burger King on North Main Street about 12:35 a.m. causing the employee to believe he was trying to break in.

Bowling Green Police Lt. Tony Hetrick said the pair were stopped and arrested a short while after the incident at Burger King.

Officers found golf clubs, broken glass, and beer in their vehicle.
