Not to be upstaged by Bing, Google has announced its own search-sharing deal with Twitter, in which relevant tweets will be displayed alongside Google search results. As Twitter is currently working, this makes trending and buzzworthy search terms less reliable in Twitter results, since, spammers have a penchant for hijacking such terms.
Hey, if you want to make a map of the city that is the Internet, you gotta include the sewers.
Given this new type of information and its value to search, we are very excited to announce that we have reached an agreement with Twitter to include their updates in our search results. We believe that our search results and user experience will greatly benefit from the inclusion of this up-to-the-minute data.
