GOP candidate does not believe you deserve personal autonomy

Rick Santorum, Republican presidential candidate and clearly closeted anti-gay zealot, has stated in the past:

"This whole idea of personal autonomy, well, I don’t think most conservatives hold that point of view. Some do. They have this idea that people should be left alone, be able to do whatever they want to do, government should keep our taxes down and keep our regulations low, that we shouldn’t get involved in the bedroom, we shouldn’t get involved in cultural issues. You know, people should do whatever they want.”

See, Santorum is not big for you making a personal choice. I and other social libertarians believe you have the right and ability to do something, along as you harm others. Even when it comes to economic issues such as regulations, I only believe the government should regulate to the extent necessasry to prevent harm. For example we regulate pollution to reduce the harm suffered by others (such as for obvious medical reasons). I want to keep government involvement in any area of our life, as reduced as necessary. Theocrats like Santorum don't. Not at all and they don't even believe in any such philosphy of self determation or autonomy.
