Graffiti At It's Finest - Toronto's Style In Progress...Revisited

Another picture perfect sunny day in Graffiti Alley, but this time with a difference.
There was no music blasting in the background. No crowds of people elbowing for a view. No sounds of tumbling balls from the shaking spray cans held within the clutches of the artist’s hand. Nor was there the smell of fresh paint hanging in the air.
The alleys empty now, quiet. Almost ghostly really, as though a tribe has marked their presence and then somehow vanished, leaving behind somewhat of a legacy of insight and personal views.
Now with sparkling colours of the still fresh paint clinging to the surface, as if to be hiding from the masses. The ageing walls almost seem to come to life as the sun shines on every brick and crack, revealing new shades of detail and colour as the day moves on.
One can easily get lost in the element and miss hidden works if not careful. The art is so vast in this three block stretch that time quickly escapes.
Days will come and go now. Weeks will turn to months and before long a year will pass and the tribe will gather once again to make fresh works of art and cast new life to this Alley and carry on the tradition of this annual event.
I can already smell the paint.
