A photograph by a London Green Party blogger, cyclist and activist has been been used by the Labour Party as part of their election leaflet.

Freewheeler is a well known hardlined popular Green blogger and cyclist in the Waltham Forest area.  It is extraordinary that the Labour Party even dared to so.

The Labour Party, who have spent much of the time apologising to the public, from the expenses scandal, and only just recently, 'Bigotgate',  continue to make even more gaffs.

When asked about it by the Waltham Forest Guardian, a Labour spokesman said:

"We take great care in ensuring that all our photos are taken by ourselves or are copyright free. It appears in this instance that one of our design team has made an innocent error which we regret."

Freewheeler writes:

Let me recapitulate. By using my copyright photograph the local Labour Party is in breach of The Digital Economy Act, which the Brown government rushed through in the closing days of the current parliament and which has been strongly criticised on civil liberties grounds. Among other things it gives the state the power to disconnect you from the internet if you breach copyright.

Jack Green Dublin.

I Read something about this on his Blog that they had used his Photograph and used part of it to Promote something about not enough Parking for the Residents which  is entirely at odds on what the Photograph was all about. He was complaining about  over Dependency of Cars in Waltham Forest and the People in that Street which  is very narrow have few Car owners anyway and  they are  going to put  a Busway  through the Area . The Residents did not  like what their Council was doing and anytime they complained they were always ignored and the  Policy was Rubber Stamped into  Law without their  Permission. The Waltham Forest Council Promotes over Dependency on Cars and does not support Pedestrians Walking and Cycling in spite  of the Greenwash they like to  trot out to the Media.

I am not surprised that the principal parties do this to the minor ones.
