Watching Gregor Robertson live on CTV announcing his vitctory as Vancouver's next mayor. He seems pretty happy. He promises to work hard on the peoples' behalf. Says the election was even better than watching the Canucks thrash the Leafs.
He says the party looks forward to working with the First Nations Groups.
He looks forward to working together to building a better city for all.

I'm watching the victory party on local TV. Gregor Robertson said: "I am so excited and proud to be speaking to you as Vancouver's next mayor."
Speaking of his rivalry with opponent Peter Ladner and the NPA, he said: "It was a hard fought campaign but there is still far mor that unites us than divides us."
Robertson congratulated Ladner and the NPA on "their campaign and service to the city of Vancouver".

Peter Ladner just said that voter turnout was only 25%. That sucks.

I'm really happy. I think this is going to be a great thing for the city. I am buoyed by the concept that homelessness can be prioritized, it is an important issue for the city!
