Remy Zero was highly praised by bands such as Radiohead and by celebrities such as Zach Braff, but Gregory Slay Scott passed away this morning.

“He was in a peaceful place and surrounded by his family,” reads a statement by the surviving members of Remy Zero. “We are so grateful for the time we were allowed with each other and for the wonderful opportunity to create with him for so many years. Gregory inspired all who had the chance to see him perform,  to hear the music that he made or just to be around his bountiful spirit.  He will be greatly missed.”

It has not been released how he died at this time.

His most recent project was a collaboration with singer Eliot Morris with other Remy Zero band members Cedric LeMoyne and Jeffrey Cain.
