Guadalajara Int Film Festival: Prize for Matt Dillon, The Prophet

The International Film Festival in Guadalajara celebrates its 25th year and will showcase more than 250 films, documentaries and short films produced in Mexico and Ibero America.
A special selection of films from the guest country France will be presented, opening with the film The Prophet by Jacques Audiard.
Matt Dillon, 46, will be awarded The Guadalajara International Prize and will also participate in the master classes on Talent Campus Guadalajara.
FICG honors with the Guadalajara International Prize the career of American actor and director Matt Dillon. He will receive a tribute on the inauguration gala of the 25th edition of the festival on Friday, March 12th.
Dillon, (born in New Rochelle, New York) became a teenage idol for films like The Outsiders, Rumblefish, Drugstore Cowboy, Flamingo Kid, Singles, Beautiful Girls, Wild Things, Something About Mary, To Die For and Crash.

The tickets for the movies to be presented during the 25th edtion of the Guadalajara International Film Festival will be sold in the event venues from March 12th until March 19th 2010, this venues are Teatro Diana, Cineforo de la UdeG, Instituto Cultural Cabañas and Cinepolis Centro Magno.
