Gul Panag Says She Was Groped During Delhi Half Marathon
Former Miss India Gul Panag Says She Was Groped By Some Male Runners As She Ran the Delhi Half Marathon on Sunday
There were 30,000 runners taking part in the half marathon and Gul Panag says she was touched inappropriately several times as she ran.
Panag has participated in many running events but said this kind of thing has not happened before. When asked about the incident, she spoke about the Delhi culture.
"It's the women-in-crowded-place syndrome and typical of Delhi - groping. And it's not even surprising,” the actress told the Mumbai Mirror.
She says this has not put her off running in the future, but she did say this type of incident would not happen in Mumbai.
“Delhi men won't let go of any opportunity to tease or behave indecently. The people's mindset has not changed despite hosting a mega event like Commonwealth Games in October,” she said.

Groping is very popular past time in crowds in North India ,particularly Delhi. Not only girls suffer but also boys and men . Crowded places are the action fields and opportunities galore exist. I have my self suffered in buses and crowds ,even temples.! How should one react ,?sometimes there are more than one person indulging and any violent reaction may be disasterous for the sufferer, with one person vs a group.
