Gwyneth Paltrow Makes Surprise Appearance at "Glee Live" Concert
Giving a lucky crowd quite the special treat, Gwyneth Paltrow surprised the audience at the “Glee Live” concert in New Jersey on Thursday night (June 16).
The “Country Strong” singer took the stage unannounced at the Izod Center and sang her rendition of Cee-Lo Green's “Forget You“.
Not surprisingly, the crowd went wild when they realized it was her belting out her good pal's hit song.
The concert was recorded and will be featured in a 3-D big screen version of the tour set to be released later in the summer.
Stepping out for a good cause, Gwyneth Paltrow was on hand for the 3rd annual Bent on Learning benefit in New York City on Wednesday evening (June 15).
Held at the Urban Zen Center, the Oscar-winning actress worked the arrivals area before joining up with designer Donna Karan and Stacey Bendet.
Miss Paltrow's appearance comes as she happened to be honored during the course of the festivities for her “immense contributions to the yoga community.”
As for the organization, Bent On Learning has a mission set "to improve the physical fitness and cognitive, social and emotional skills of New York City public school students by providing regular instruction in yoga and meditation."
And in another promotional gig that demonstrates her devotion to a healthy lifestyle, Gwyneth covers the June 2011 issue of Bon Appetit magazine.
Inside, the "Sliding Doors" actress straps on her apron as she talks about cooking in her bold Mediterranean blue kitchen - which is on the ground floor of a double-wide London townhouse.
Keeping it simple when it comes to whipping up meals, Gwyneth offered a tip by saying, "Maldon sea salt, olive oil, and lemon can make anything taste great."
As for what she uses to chop things up, the 38-year-old told, "I really only use Global knives. If I go to friends' houses and use different knives, I always manage to cut myself."
With many more recipes available in Bon Appetit, Paltrow makes a to-die-for Grilled Chicken with Peach BBQ Sauce dish. Using a barbecue sauce with adobo for herself and her husband and soy for the kids, Paltrow said, "You can use it on basically anything grilled."
Directions for this dish as well as others created by Gwyneth are available on the Bon Appetit website.
