The biggest parade is probably the New York City Halloween parade, which kicks off at 7pm up 6th Avenue from Spring Street to 21st Street.
(Parade Route for Halloween Parade NYC) This is the place to see the most outlandish costumes and floats. The Greenwich Village Halloween Parade starts at 7pm, but revelers start congregating at local watering holes in the late afternoon, especially since Halloween falls on a Saturday.

In the Philippines we celebrated 'Undas' in All Saints Day-All Souls Day. 'The Day of the Dead' (Araw ng mga Patay) Todos Los Santos or Dia Delos Muertos!. (Oct. 31, Nov. 1 to Nov. 2)... Anywhere in the Philippines, Filipinos are very busy preparing, packing their bags to visit relatives in the provinces and spend time with them to have a special moment with their long lost relatives, friends or love ones... This is the time for the living and dead to be reunited... We experienced: singing a 'karaoke' together, eating certain dishes and sharing foods meant for 'Todos Los Santos' at the cemetery or inside the house....

I lived in the PI for three years, and I remember the candle lighted vigils at cemetaries and how it was a time for reverance for the dead and a celebration.
I don't like the commercial, ghoulish enterprise that U.S. has turned it into, as I remarked on another thread.

'Undas' or 'Araw ng mga Patay in Tagalog (Day of the Dead) ' All Saints' Day is openly celebrated on Nov. 1, Filipinos treat it as an almost festive event and has more of a family reunion atmosphere... The next day is All Souls' Day (Nov. 2) commemorates the departed faithful who have not yet been purified and reached heaven...
