Happy Birthday To Nick Jonas

Nick Jonas, the youngest of the three Jonas Brothers, turns 17 years old today. Fans from all around the world has flooded the group's website and Twitter with messages and wishes.

Nick's career in music started as a solo act but record producers were so impressed with brothers Kevin and Joe (who were backup singing for him) that they made them into a musical trio. Since then, the Jonas brothers have sold more than eight million albums.

Aside from taking a part in making four greatly successful albums, a popular TV show, a hit Disney movie, and countless sold-out concerts, Nick is also a philanthropist of the trio. He has been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes since the age of 13, which led him to become a vocal advocate for the cause. He has reached out to a number of charities that aim to help kids cope with and maintain juvenile diabetes, and urged the Senate to fund more research for finding a cure. His Change for the Children Foundation also works with five other groups to raise money and people's awareness.

Over the past few years, he has been Disney superstar Miley Cyrus' on-and-off boyfriend. He is also expected to be the best man at his brother Kevin Jonas' wedding with Danielle Deleasa this winter.

Currently, Nick is in Toronto with his brothers Joe and Kevin, and the three are filming Camp Rock 2 with their good friend, Demi Lovato. They will be performing in South America and Europe in October.

People who share the same birthday as Nick include B. B. King, David Copperfield, Mickey Rourke, and Marc Anthony.
