Hardly a happy addition; Child pornography meets Magic Mushroom Community
The relationship of pedophiles to the internet has been made
increasingly clear by the news media yet pedophilic activity seems able
to find frequent new outlets unnoticed by authorities. One such haven
for this abominable practice finds itself amidst a population of
mushroom enthusiasts.
Magic Mushrooms, psilocybin containing
fungii, have their own internet fan base in the form of two prominent
message board communites, The Shroomery and Mycotopia. These
colloborating sister sites, according to a once member of these
communities, have deep roots in the white power movement, which may, in
some part, account for their ambivalence towards child exploitation.
A
large breadth of tolerance in recent has been granted to the
pedophiliac sub-community on these forums. According to several forum
members I have been in contact with, these forums have long had
currents of fecalphelia though child pornography seldom surfaced.
Swapping and trading of underage nude photography is hidden from non
members and occurs in private forums, with discreet titles such as
"OTD", "The Rabbit Hole", "Spirituality and Philosophy".
Clearly
something must be done to shut these kiddie porn dealers down, yet my
sources say the stream of underage pornography continues.

This is the most inaccurate article I have ever seen. I am the admin at shroomotopia.com, a microscopy forum like Shroomery and Mycotopia. There has never been anything to do with kiddie porn at Mycotopia, EVER. The admin is very strict and would bann anyone even joking about it, so I doubt it. Shroomery is a lil more out of control but even there the "jailbait" threads are actually all girls from the jailbait site and they are really all over 18 but they look young. Trust that the tool who wrote this doesn't have "sources" and if he did, they are out right liars or maybe even the ones involved. If anything I bet Imaginations is a pedophile and thought he could get child porn there and when he tried and was declined he figured he could write a slanderous article to get back at them.
People seem to think that people who use any types of drugs are scum or shady but you would be surprised. Many eat shrooms to become enlightened spiritually and to find inner peace, child rape or porn isn't a part of the culture or the lifestyle. I am really surprised to see this cu I have been members of both for years and would have reported it if I ever saw something even resembling that.

There was however posts of pics from John Stamet's book with your children from other countries that run around naked all the time and they are in some pics with shrooms but there is nothing sexual and they are just nudist pics from overseas, no laws were broken and definitly not kiddie porn.
I take offense to this cuz my forum gets judged with the others of it's type and I will never put up with stuff like that. I don't even allow nudity on my site at all.
I find it in decidedly poor taste that one of the most highly monitored boards concerning mushrooms and its content is named in this article. My suspicions tell me that whoever wrote this article found themselves banned from the board for inappropriate content of posts.
Research, Enlightenment and knowledge of fungi are the gifts given and received at Mycotopia. Slander, child pornography, and hate are not welcome, nor is it tolerated in any shape or form. If any time had been spent there, you would know this.
I can only wonder what the motives were that prompted this article. This was obviously not written by a pure heart, but a vengeful one.

There should be some kind of linkable documentation for a claim like this.
What an inflammatory load of crap. You have obviously never spent ANY time at any of the websites you are accusing of these things. I have NEVER seen any child pornography at The Shroomery or Mycotopia.
How bout instead, of articulating some speculative nonsense, we correlate the relationship of the Catholic church and pedophilia, which is undeniably more of a threat to our children then a damn mushroom website, which makes no sense at all, which is more likely why there is no evidence ever mentioned in the article. The scariest thing, is that the Catholic church is made to seen as safe and a sanctuary too most, especially children who are very mentally susceptible to things, especially if the exploiter is a truster father of there religion,. Honestly I dont know whats scarier the fact that this goes about without question of the Catholic philosophy, or the fact that people are oblivious to it. :(
