This song has a very sorrowful history. On June 8, 2002, there was a gunfight between two groups in our university and a girl named Sabekun nahar Sony, 3rd year student of the Chemical engineering department, was killed in the cross fire. It was a terrible incident and the whole university was affected. The institution was closed for several months due to investigation of the crime. I was in my first year back then and was terribly shocked at this kind of brutality in campus. Later a monument was created in the place where Sony was killed. In that stone monument a five line poem written by Sony was imprinted.
