Michael Jackson's estate is suing the Heal The World Foundation, claiming that the Heal The World Foundation is unlawfully implying that Michael Jackson endorsed the charity. Actually, Michael Jackson had his own charity called Heal The World, which is no longer active.

Michael Jackson's estate's lawyers argue that the Heal The World Foundation has applied for trademarks hinging on Michael Jackson's name, which they have no legal right to do.

Lawyers say the Heal The World Foundation used websites and trademarks suggesting the late pop star endorsed donations to the organisation.

Michael Jackson's estate isn't stopping there: the lawyers have the taste of blood, and are going for more, even trying to control use of the term "thriller".
Furthermore, the estate are seeking to ban the unauthorised use of phrases such as 'King Of Pop' and 'Thriller' that were associated with Jackson.

Since "thriller" isn't a word or neologism invented by Michael Jackson, the lawyers may have a tough time with that one.
