Heidi Montag Has Filed For Legal Separation From Her Husband Spencer Pratt

Heidi Montag showed up at the courthouse in Malibu to file for legal separation from her husband Spencer Pratt, but she was actually at the wrong courthouse and needed to be at the one in Santa Monica.

RadarOnline reports that Heidi filed without the help of an attorney, which is unusual in these cases.

“As far as she’s concerned the marriage is over.” a source tells RadarOnline.com.

Under the reason for the separation, Heidi wrote 'irreconcilable differences' and also stated that there are no assets or debts of theirs that need to be dealt with by the court, meaning that the couple may have had a prenuptial agreement.

Many critics of the couple say their separation and possible divorce is still not real. Even Holly Montag called her sister and husband liars and Lo Bosworth from The Hills said that she doubts this story is true.

“She’s not quite ready to file for divorce. She had great concern for her finances; Spencer has been spending what she considers to be her money.” California law states the date that you separate ends community property.

Other sources, such as Jen Bunny say this separation is very real and Heidi does not want to be with Spencer anymore.
