HERO CHIRANJEEVI’S SON-IN-LAW SURRENDERS BEFORE COURT
Hyderabad, July 27 : The megastar-turned-Praja Rajyam party chief and Tirupati MLA, Mr
K. Chiranjeevi’s younger son-in-law Sirish Bharadwaja, who was facing dowry harassment case,surrendered before the criminal court at Nampally here on Wednesday. He was remanded to judicial custody for 14 days. He was shifted to the Chanchalguda Central Jail. Meanwhile the CCs police filed a petition in the court seeking five day custody.It may be mentioned here that Mr Chiranjeevi’s younger daughter and wife of the accused, MsSrija had lodged a complaint with the CCS police stating that Bharadwaja was harassing her mentally and physically for additional dowry. Following the complaint, Bharadwaja went underground and Evaded arrest since the last three months. Dramatically, he surfaced before the court on Wednesday morning and surrendered himself.Ms Srija had married Bharadwaja without the knowledge and consent of her parents and otherfamily members following a love affair in an Arya Samaj hall in Bowenpally causing sensation in the State. She lived happily with her husband till she had a child. After the birth of the child, Ms Srija revived her relations with her parents and other family members and began distancing herself with her husband and in-laws. As the relations soured completely, she snapped her relations with her husband and returned to her maternal house.Later, Ms Srija lodged a complaint with the CCS police alleging that her husband and inlawswere harassing her for money.
