Heroine Movie Review - Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal

As disappointing as it may sound, ‘Heroine’ is not as effective as Madhur’s ‘Chandni Bar’, ‘Page 3’ or ‘Fashion’. It is about a superstar Mahie Arora’s (Kareena Kapoor) personal life, her impulsive, frantic and complex nature. She is shown to be not sure of what she really wants, fame, or true love. Whereas, today no big heroine, however in deep trouble she may be, will beg a PR person to create a controversy for a film to work.

Now why ‘Heroine’ works is because of its performances. One cannot really say that this is Bebo’s best performance by far, as it is really difficult to forget the bubbly ‘Geet’ of ‘Jab We Met’, but it shows that she has given her heart and soul to the film. She looks stunning and performs equally well. The scene where she goes for adopting a child actually gets a tear in your eye.
