Chennai: Heroine Nayana Tara said she would be quitting acting  after the ongoing ‘Sri Rama Rajya’ celluloid depiction of the epic Ramayana being directed by eminent director Bapu after her much talked about marriage to hero, choreographer and director Prabhu Deva. She says she feels it was a great boon to her to have the opportunity of playing the role of Goddess Sita in her last film. Hero Bala Krishna is acting as Lord Rama.

Prabhu Deva and Nayanatara have been in love since some years and their love episode is the most talked about, in the film industry as Prabhu Deva was already married and has children.

Body Guard, a Malayalam film in which she acted was a bumper hit in Kerala. She said the film was being remade in Tamil. When the Tamil producers asked her to do the same role she has done in the Malayalam version, Nayana Tara simply refused, despite the good remuneration offered by the producers.

Reports kept on saying that Prabhu Deva’s wife agreed to give divorce to him. And she used to come before the media denying the reports. However the two got a green signal from Prabhu Deva’s wife after offering a whale of lot of money.

When asked about reports that differences had developed between her and Prabhu Deva, she rubbished the reports.

She said Prabhu Deva has asked her not to act in films and she would henceforth concentrate on her family.
