One of the things I love about living in the Philippines is its culture, art and music, partially the music groups and bands and wonderful singers. I feel privileged to have been here and living in the area of the Philippines where and when Bisrock was born. I spent many an hour listening to local groups play new songs wrote in cebano.

The favored romantic place was on a stage by the Lighthouse in Lil-oan. Each and every Saturday night I would go and drink a few cold beers listening to renderings of Bisrock a form of local rock that I began to get very addicted too.

But then I was also drawn to a tagalog rap group Salbakuta my favourite track being “Stupid Love”

Filipino’s love to sing and love good music and good entertainment many Cities have a yearly battle of the bands contest with people from all walks of live flocking to see and appreciate. It’s not often that one gets a very bad performance and if there is no one hisses or boo’s. Sometimes a very special band drags its audience into the magic kingdom of great music and pure professional singing that one could only get a top class rock festival.

However to the residential foreigners the fact the music goes out full blare and they don’t understand the lyric’s of the songs they are not attracted to the Filipino music scene. I have however uploaded loads of media so the readers can sample what I think is great music and great performances of very talented Filipino artist.

It a shame that some of these groups did not receive any world attention, never released there songs and music outside the borders of the Philippines. But however, hopefully my article will attract some new fans at least from this news community. Please enjoy the video’s and the music.
