It was a sad day on Thursday and America stood in shock when Will, the best dancer on the show, was eliminated from So You Think You Can Dance.  How can that be? Well I really don’t know, but I’m quite unhappy about the entire thing. Up till last night, I really thought that he would win the competition.

Will and Courtney had a pretty great night. Their first routine was the samba. I have to admit that they have a great chemistry together. Courtney totally rocked the performance. She even looked like a professional samba dancer. After opening the night with a high energy Samba number that received high praises from the judges, they performed a Mia Michaels contemporary routine that immersed us emotionally into the story. The story was about turning back time so that one can be with that one special person one last time. Courtney and Will were so emotionally connected that you can relate to the story and “ride the emotional tide” of the routine. It was beautiful. Will’s solo was absolutely ridiculous.

Twitch and Katee also had an amazing night. Their Mia Michaels contemporary routine was quite shocking. Did I mention that they shared a kiss during the routine? *gasp* I know right?
Anyways, the routine was about a guy ignoring his angry ex girlfriend. The use of the door as a prop was amazing with Katee hanging on the edge while Twitch slammed it shut. I was so afraid that he’ll crack her fingers. Their second peformance was a “Sweet Georgia Brown” broadway routine by Tyce Diorio. Although Sweet Georgia Brown, Katee herself, was not rough enough with her dancing, the routine was fun and well danced. Twitch’s solo was really smooth. It didn’t even look like he was dancing (it looked more like walking on ice). It was wicked.

Chelsie and Joshua were a couple this week, and they were amazing as well. Wednesday night was truly one of the best shows I’ve seen all season. They first tangoed their way onto Mary’s Hot Tamale Train, then they felt the funk during their disco number. Their first performance was one of the best Argentine Tango that I’ve seen on the show. Dimitre choreographed it, and his choreography was up to par with a lot of the choreographers on the show. He deserves some praise for his efforts. Their disco routine wouldn’t have been so great if they didn’t feel the funk and the groove that was necessary. They had fun and treated it like a night of partying, and it worked. Joshua’s strength also made it so much easier to do some of those incredible lifts, so much so that they did a lift that was never on the show before. That’s amazing.

Comfort and Mark’s hiphop performance blew my mind. It was funny, with Comfort looking over Mark’s shoulder, trying to cheat off him in class. However, their foxtrot was a disaster. As much as I like Mark (I’m actually a fan of his quirkiness), he should have been the one going home--relatively speaking.

There’s nothing we can do now. Will is gone. Now I can’t decide who to cheer for. They’re all exceptional.
