Barak Obama's recent selection of Hilary Clinton suggests that the big changes he's promised are going to be more of the status quo. The <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Clintons camp is entrenched in Democratic politics, and their influence has been deep and in many ways unhealthy.
The problem with having a dynasty in America these days is that corruption coalesces around entrenched power. There is certainly a lot of evidence that the Clintons have compromised principle over and over on multiple levels of life.
I know that Hilary is popular because she is a strong woman. Her personality and her record of cover-ups and criminal connections sully both her and her husband, they cloud Obama now, and they also call into question the standards of the American people for looking the other way when graft and corruption raise their heads in high places.
Sometimes I guess we get what we deserve.
