Homeground Pre-Olympics Festival "for Homeless and Underhoused" by jr

In this photo, Dunlevy St. by Oppenheimer Park is blocked to traffic.  That was so that the Homeground Winter Festival "for Homeless and Underhoused Downtown Eastside Residents" could take place from Friday, Feb. 20th to Sun., Feb. 22, 2009. 

The Homeground Festival was a trial run for the Winter Oasis Festival intended to occupy the poor during the 2010 Olympics. 

This weekend's festival was tainted by accusations of nepotism though
