HOW MUCH REVOLUTION IS IN US? by Jon Rappaport

After all, there are many 'utopian' predictions for human liberation. E.g. the Maitreya Buddha should be appearing just about now to teach that humans will overcome conflict by learning Loving Kindness, and the Mayan calendar predicts that we will achieve a massive sharing of BLISS by 2009. I can't wait!

There is obviously a great difference between operating under the umbrella of someone else’s manipulation and operating as a free person.

These days, we can see all sorts of examples of manipulation. For instance, stock markets are, to a significant degree, manipulated. Prices go up and they go down. Then they go up again. What the public may view and experience as a catastrophe---the sinking of stock prices---is, to insiders, just another down-cycle from which they can profit. It’s that kind of game.

The public is fed all sorts of stories about why prices are rising or falling, but to manipulators, the reason is always simple and stark: price is being controlled by them. And the average investor is being squeezed.
This is part of Old World thinking. A pretense of competition that, unmasked, is actually a puppet show. Win through deception.

But, as I’ve written before, coming up toward the present moment, all the way from the early mists of history, another kind of current has been gaining force. The liberation of imagination from rigid attachment to ruling myths and prefabricated images of the universe.

And now, we live in a world where it is possible for many people to launch their own imaginations and creative power to make fantastic new futures. THE TRUE REVOLUTION.

Yet here is an astonishing thing. What happens when a revolution has been successful, a vital force has been liberated, and the people for whom it is liberated DON’T EVEN KNOW IT HAS HAPPENED?
Analogy: A prisoner who has been in his cell for years looks at his door one day and sees that it is open. Wide open. But he doesn’t walk out. He stays inside, not because he’s afraid, but because he has forgotten what freedom means. He doesn’t know what freedom IS.

The doorway to the New World is that twilight area where a person realizes he HAS imagination. That it could be a massively potent force.

Then he can step across the threshold and CREATE.

Millions of people doing THAT make the New World.
And notice they are not all creating the same thing. The New World is not a collective goal realized. That’s just one more fiction, one more crazy idea operating under the umbrella of manipulation. That’s the basic religious formula: get these people to believe they all want the same thing.

If you can get large numbers of people to believe that, above all, they want the same thing, you can get them to move in lock-step fashion toward it. That’s Old World.

New World is the dynamic inter-mix of huge numbers of free people each creating their deepest desires. Then and only then does the world REFLECT imagination and creative force at work.

That’s what the world is for.
