Howie Mandel To Replace David Hasselhoff On America's Got Talent
It was decided over the weekend that Canadian comedian Howie Mandel will be replacing David Hasselhoff on the TV show America's Got Talent. The talent show, which returns in the summer of 2010, will see Mandel joining the celebrity judging panel of Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan. NBC Chairman Jeff Gaspin made this statement:
"David is leaving… and yes I believe Howie Mandel is replacing [him]," Jeff Gaspin, NBC Universal Television Entertainment chairman told NBC's Television Critics Association panel on Sunday.
Howie Mandel is best known for his roles on the Canadian and US editions of the Deal Or No Deal TV show. He's been a comedian in Canada for much of his career and will now be joining the ranks of another TV show as a judge for the first time.
