The biennial Hue Festival closed on the evening of June 11 after nine days of traditional festivities with a special art programme taking place in the Hue Imperial Citadel’s Ngo Mon (Noon Gate) Square, with the participation of many Vietnamese singers and dancers.

Songs performed by singer Nguyet Anh and her ATB music group in the programme expressed the feelings of Hue natives when they return to the city after living far from home for a long time.

The event involved well-known art troupes from around the country, including those from Hanoi and Hue city.

The former imperial city and the Huong (Perfume) river were brightly adorned with hundreds of various-sized lanterns.
