Hugh Hefner Divorce: Kimberly Conrad 'Cheated on Me'
Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner has finally filed for divorce from his second wife, Kimberly Conrad after an 11 year separation. Hugh Hefner claims he only stayed married to Kimberly Conrad for the sake of the children and that she cheated on him which led to their separation. The allegations that Kimberly Conrad cheated on Hugh Hefner have the gossip mills in full tilt.
Hugh Hefner claims his soon-to-be ex-wife Kimberley Conrad cheated on him before their marriage fell apart -- but that's not why he's finally demanding a divorce.
TMZ just spoke with the Playboy kingpin, who told us he made the decision to officially break it off with his estranged wife, and mother of his two children, strictly because she filed a $5 million lawsuit against him last month relating to the sale of a house they owned together.
As for why he had stayed married during the 11-years they have been estranged, Hef says, "At the time of the separation, I was happy to get a divorce ... I only remained married for the sake of the children at her request."
83-year-old Hefner filed court documents last week to end his marriage with former Playmate Conrad, 47, citing irreconcilable differences. The two got married in July 1989, followed by separation in January 1998. They have two sons together, Marston, 19, and Cooper, 18. Conrad and the kids have been living in the house next to the infamously famed Los Angeles Playboy Mansion, while Hefner lived with his ever-changing young girlfriends and stars from the reality TV show, The Girls Next Door.
"At the time of the separation, I was happy to get a divorce ... I only remained married for the sake of the children at her request," Hefner told TMZ.
Hefner told People magazine he had not ruled out tying the knot for a third time. "It's unlikely since I haven't been very successful at it," he said. "But anything is possible."
Hefner, having assets of more than $43 million, excluding Playboy stock and property, spends on average $43,000 a month on food and entertainment. Earlier in August, Conrad filed a $5 million lawsuit against Hefner relating to the sale of a house they owned together. In response, Hefner said that he "owed nothing to Conrad" and had been "generous to a fault."
Hefner has asked for spousal support for Conrad to be set at $20,000 a month, saying he has already given his estranged wife close to $12 million since their separation 11 years ago.
Hefner is currently reported to be dating 23-year-old Crystal Harris, and twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon, 19; all three girls are Playboy models.
