Hundreds pay respects to Ted Rogers
Ted Rogers, owner of Rogers Communication Inc, the Rogers Centre, and the Toronto Blue Jays passed away last week at the age of 75 due to heart disease.
This week hundreds of friends, relatives, and business acquaintances filed into Toronto's Grace Church in the community of Forest Hill to honour the media giant.
Among other notables, Canada's Finance Minister Jim Flaherty was in attendance,
Canada's Finance Minister Jim Flaherty lined up with hundreds of others to pay his respects.
After shaking hands with family members, Flaherty stopped, kneeled in a pew and took a moment to say a few prayers in the church.
Also in attendance were Rogers broadcast notables, including CityTV news anchor Anne Mroczkowski and Breakfast Television co-hosts Dina Pugliese and Kevin Frankish.
The funeral service is to be held today.
