Ice Age vs. Transformers

It seems like the badly-reviewed Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen doesn't have enough engine power to compete against the animated franchise of Ice Age. According to EARLY estimates for Wednesday, Ice Age 3D: Dawn of the Dinosaurs opened with $13 million. While Transformers: ROTF was close behind with $11 million. The other big movie that opened Wednesday was, Public Enemies, starring Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, and Marion Cotillard. It wasn't that far behind either with $8.4 million. With all three movies so close this will be an interesting fourth of July weekend.
